Boston Children's Hospital Hale Clinical Building

The expansive Hale Clinical Building project at Boston Children’s Hospital included a complex, three-phase demo scope that was performed in the heart of the Longwood Medical area.

The scope included the complete demolition of three different structures without the use of heavy equipment. Methodical and careful planning was executed by the project management team to oversee the shoring, saw cutting and removal of concrete slabs by use of tower crane. Close coordination with other trades and subcontractors allowed for safe removal of structures without disruption to site logistics and schedule.

The Unified Cleaning Division was also contracted to perform the final cleaning of the new building. Hospital-specific cleaning practices will be employed to meet strict hospital regulations and standards, all while working on a tight schedule in preparation for the targeted Summer 2022 opening.
